This weekend I stopped by Bricco, an Italian sub / specialty foods store in the North End, and ordered the Panino. After visiting Bricco, which is hidden down an alleyway almost out of site, we stepped next door to the equally hidden La Panetteria where I picked up an olive baguette. Regan and I ate in the park where it was absolutely beautiful out, and enjoyed some gelato after the fact!
I can’t believe more people don’t know about this diamond in the ruff. Both La Panetteria and Bricco were fairly busy, but it all seemed to be native Italian speakers. I found it added to the authenticity of the stores, and I really hope it stays that way!
