Many of us believe that when fall comes, we have to rid our closets of all the amazing colors that we wore in the summer. It is not about what we have to exclude or add to our wardrobes to be in style with the latest fashions, but rather how we transition these pieces into the fall.
During the Summer neon colors were big in the form of color-blocking (pairing colors in the same family such as neons and pastels together). And in general, this past year, neon colors became a very popular trend. A trend that is definitely here to stay for the fall. Here are three tips on how to incorporate neon styles into your fall wardrobe:
Do: Add a hint of pink neon to a classic cut blazer to create a fun and fresh edge for your wardrobe. In this picture Gwenyth Paltrow is wearing a blue corduroy blazer with neon pink trim by Rag&Bone. She pairs the blazer with a basic pair of dark washed denim for a well put-together, effortless look.
Style Bonus: Here is a great alternative that omits the pockets without sacrificing style.
Do: Add a pop of color to your wardrobe with a pair of funky neon green sneakers. The Ash Bowie Yellow sneaker wedge is one of the hottest trends for women this fall. They are perfect for every occasion- with a cute fun dress or with a pair of black leggings and a striking top. These shoes are perfect for those days when you can’t decide between your Converse or your heels.
Do: Add a splash of color to your wrist for instant arm candy. This lovely faux leather bracelet was listed here as one of the top 100 accessories for fall 2012. You can layer the bracelet with some of your own or double up with two to create a bold statement. This bracelet looks great with with gold, silver, and even other neon colors.
Fashion is supposed to be fun, so don’t be afraid to wear different styles and trends together. There are many ways you can add pops of color to your own personal style whether it is with a bright, neon blazer or a vibrant necklace. So go ahead and fall into neon.
